Footpath Widening in Heath Nursery Woods

Located between Grange Court, Moortown Golf Course and St. Andrews Croft, this area has received much-needed attention. A Friends of Group was established in 2023/24 to help manage this Leeds City Council woodland, which had become overgrown with invasive rhododendrons.

The Parish Council funded pathway widening work, completed in January 2024, which has improved access and woodland health. The improved paths have been well received and brought a beautiful display of rhododendron blooms earlier in the year.

Alwoodley Parish Council welcomes and supports Friends-of groups who care for our green spaces. We invite local residents and volunteer groups to come forward with ideas and to seek grants for priority environmental and access improvements.
