Parish Council Grants
The Parish Council runs a small grants scheme for voluntary groups and local charities based within the Alwoodley Parish Council area. The usual award is up to £500. Larger amounts up to a maximum of £5,000 may be considered. Larger grants will require greater supporting documents and financial details.
The Parish Council regret that they cannot fund applications for individuals.

Start-up Grants
The Parish Council has also helped to set up a number of small voluntary groups by providing a grant towards their start-up costs. These groups include:

Alwoodley Table Tennis (Section of the ACA)
The Parish Council provided funding for a ball-serving robot to help the group get to the next skill level!
Alwoodley Allotments
The Parish Council funded a notice board to keep members informed of upcoming events, meetings and activities.
Friends of Adel Woods
The Parish Council provided funding or poppers to remove trees from the heathland, to properly manage that critical habitat.
Alwoodley Scouts
The Parish Council provided funding for a much needed new fire pit and equipment.
Alwoodley 2030
The Parish Council funded the Healthy Homes project, Open Nature-Friendly Gardens Day, and Walk to School Week Mascots & Banners
Herd Farm
The Parish Council contributed towards the installation of an assault course to be used by children and families for family days, holiday clubs and other events open to Alwoodley residents.
Alwoodley Repair Cafe
The Parish Council supported its operation by funding its venue hire fee, PAT testing, and consumables.
MaeCare
The Parish Council supplemented a budget shortfall to ensure a dementia programme continued operating.
Alwoodley Allotment Society
The Parish Council agreed to fund a replacement water circulation pump to allow water supply for the plot holders.
Moortown West Community Association
The Parish Council contributed towards the Street art on the media boxes throughout the parish council area.
St Barnabas’ Church
The Parish Council funded towards the resurfacing of the car park in 2019.
Alwoodley Community Centre
The Parish Council granted funds towards the celebrations for the 70th Anniversary of the opening of the ACA.
Alwoodley Junior Football Team
The Parish Council’s grant provided football kit for the Under 10s team. The team has played in the local league and provided an excellent opportunity for local young people.
Alwoodley in Bloom
The Parish Council has funded the purchase of bulbs and plants to brighten up local areas.
