The Mini flower beds were first introduced to the Parish in July 2015. We experimented with six street signs on the eastern and southern boundaries, Harrogate Road and Nursery Lane areas, plus around the legs of the Parish notice board at the top of Primley Park View. The numbers have been increased in phases and to date, our Lengthsman Mike, has dug out and planted a total of twenty, mainly in the Primleys and the Birkdales.
Planted up with geraniums, pansies and bulbs depending on the time of year, they are colourful additions to the Parish and have proved to be very popular with residents.
It is envisaged that this will be a rolling programme and more should follow in other parts of the Parish in the future.
